Johann Carl Corthum
Johann Carl Corthum (* 1740 in Hohenthurm ; † January 3, 1815 ) was a German gardener and plant breeder.
Corthum settled in Zerbst in 1762 and founded a tree nursery there that was well known in the 19th century. In addition, he started a large flower cultivation and occupied himself with the improvement of viticulture in Germany.
