Johann David Börner
Johann David Börner (born September 13, 1762 in Ravensburg , † May 4, 1829 in Nordheim in Alsace) was a French general of German origin.
Life
Börner grew up in Ravensburg in Upper Swabia and entered French service in Strasbourg in 1780 and took part in the battles of Ulm , Jena , Austerlitz and Pułtusk in the Third Coalition War 1805–1806 . Near Austerlitz he received the Legion of Honor from Napoleon . He was in command of Breslau and then, at Napoleon's request, became Brigade General in the Kingdom of Westphalia . In February 1809 he marched with a Westphalian division under General Joseph Antoine Morio to Spain. He spent his retirement in Nordheim in Alsace .
