Johann Diedrich Lappenberg

Johann Diedrich Lappenberg (born January 27, 1672 in Verden ; † October 10, 1727 in Bremen ) was a German Lutheran theologian .

biography

Lappenberg was the son of a contribution (property tax) collector . He attended the Lyceum in Verden. He studied theology in Leipzig . He was regimental preacher with the Swedish troops in the Duchy of Bremen . In 1702 he became cathedral pastor in Verden . He published a number of theological works.

The theologian and historian Samuel Christian Lappenberg (1720–1788) was his son.
