Johann Fischer (politician, 1876)

Johann Fischer (born January 15, 1876 in St. Veit an der Gölsen ; † November 26, 1954 there ) was an Austrian politician ( CSP ) and farmer. Fischer was a member of the Lower Austria state parliament from 1927 to 1934 and a member of the Federal Council from 1922 to 1927 .

In 1904 Fischer took over his parents' business, the Mosergut, in the upper region (St. Veit an der Gölsen) and was the founder of the St. Veit an der Gölsen water cooperative and the "Gölsen electricity works". Between 1909 and 1914, Fischer was a member of the St. Veit town council and between 1922 and 1927 he was the district farmer's chairman. In addition, Fischer was active as a chamber councilor and chairman of the Lower Austrian agricultural health insurance fund. He represented the state of Lower Austria between December 23, 1922 and May 20, 1927 in the Federal Council and belonged to the Lower Austrian state parliament from May 20, 1927 and October 30, 1934.
