Johann Friedrich Esperstedt

Johann Friedrich Esperstedt (* 1783 in Halle an der Saale ; † February 24, 1861 in Berlin ) was a German court theater clerk.

Life

In 1806, Esperstedt, recommended by August Wilhelm Iffland , joined the association of the royal court theater in Berlin, where it was first used in the office of the general management. In 1812 he became secretary, soon afterwards a member of the administrative commission, later a member of the management team, then secret secretary and finally court councilor, in which position he worked in a very meritorious manner until 1850.

He died the day before the death of his wife Amalie Esperstedt , with whom he had been married since 1813.
