Johann Friedrich Feige

Johann Friedrich Feige (born September 15, 1726 in Dresden , † April 19, 1788 ibid) was a German sculptor in Saxony .

Life

Friedrich Feige was the second son of Johann Christian Feige the Elder . He began training as a sculptor with his father at an early age. Around 1750 he began studying at the Zerbst Art School . Until 1761 he worked at the court in Zerbst. He later returned to Dresden and made grave monuments and plastic facade decorations in and around Dresden. As a result of the Seven Years' War (1756 to 1763) and the poor economic years, there were no major orders.
