Johann Friedrich Wilhelm Binder

Johann Friedrich Wilhelm Binder (born December 30, 1857 in Mediasch ; † December 1, 1898 ibid) was a Transylvanian-Saxon politician in Hungary .

Life

Binder was born in 1857 as the son of a postmaster and studied law at the University of Vienna after attending grammar school in Mediasch . There he became a member of the Silesia fraternity in 1875 . After completing his studies, he became director of the Mediascher Sparkasse and co-founder of the Weingau magazine . In 1892 he was sent to the Saxon University by the city of Mediasch as a representative . In 1896 he became a member of the Hungarian Diet for the electoral district of Medias . He died of tuberculosis at the age of 40 . His eldest son Wilhelm Binder (1885-1947) was Mayor of Mediaș from 1938 to 1940.
