Johann Georg Eschbacher

Johann Georg Eschbacher (born May 25, 1830 in Schlatt ; † July 29, 1909 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German physician and local politician from Baden .

Life

Born the son of a farmer, Eschbacher studied medicine in Freiburg . During his studies in 1851 he became a member of the Freiburg fraternity of Teutonia . He was promoted to Dr. med. doctorate and worked as a general practitioner in Krozingen and Freiburg. He founded the district nursing home in Freiburg in 1877 and was its director until 1906. He became a medical councilor . He was a member and later an honorary member of the Association of German Doctors . Politically, he was active in many offices in Freiburg between 1877 and 1902, as a city councilor , city ​​councilor and board member . As a national liberal member of parliament , he was a member of the second chamber of the Baden state parliament from 1867 to 1872 and from 1875 to 1879.
