Johann Georg Greiff
Johann Georg Greiff (* around 1693 in Hörmannsberg (today in Ried , Aichach-Friedberg district ); † September 28, 1753 in Munich ), also Johann Georg Greif , was a German baroque sculptor .
Greif joined Andreas Faistenberger's workshop as a student around 1708 . In 1718 he obtained citizenship in Munich and was accepted into the guild. Among the most important works of the sculptor, who avoided turning to the Rococo from 1725 onwards , the sculptures in the Bürgersaalkirche and the Heiliggeistkirche in Munich are among the numerous altars .
