Johann Georg Müller (theologian)
Johann Georg Müller (born May 8, 1800 in Basel ; died August 31, 1875 there ) was a Swiss Protestant theologian and university professor.
Life
Johann Georg Müller was born in Basel in 1800. He was a student of Alexandre Vinet and Martin Leberecht de Wette . He later became a teacher at the pedagogy in Basel and professor at the University of Basel . His writings include those on American religions ; best known is his History of the American Primordial Religions (1855), which appeared in a second unchanged edition in 1867.
