Johann Georg Roessing

Johann Georg Rössing (also Rössing ) (born August 22, 1778 in Frankfurt am Main ; † July 26, 1820 there ) was a judge and politician of the Free City of Frankfurt .

Johann Georg Rössing was the son of the procurator Johann Nicolaus Alexander Rössing († 1786) from Altenstadt near Friedberg, who had become a Frankfurt citizen in 1750. Rößing studied law from 1796 at the University of Erlangen and from 1798 at the universities of Jena and Göttingen and disputed in 1799 in Göttingen pro grad. Rößing was a lawyer and later a city judge in Frankfurt am Main. From 1816 to 1820 he was a senator in the Senate of the Free City of Frankfurt . He was a member of the Legislative Body from 1817 to 1820.
