Johann Georg Trautmann (businessman)

Johann Georg Trautmann (born July 26, 1805 in Hamburg , † February 17, 1888 in Bergedorf ) was a Hamburg merchant and member of parliament.

Life

Trautmann completed a commercial apprenticeship in Hamburg and received power of attorney at HC Stakemann on August 4, 1836 . In January 1837, he switched to the Martin Wm. Soltau company , where he became an authorized signatory. 1838 was Trautmann shareholder and the company name was in M. Wm. Soltau & Trautmann changed in 1846 the name changed to Soltau, Trautmann & Co . Trautmann left the company in 1868.

From 1859 to 1864 Trautmann was a member of the Commerzdeputation , which he headed as President in 1863. He was mainly concerned with questions of the unit of coins. Trautmann belonged to the Hamburg citizenship from 1860 to 1864, sent by the Commerzdeputation .
