Johann Gottfried Benemann

Johann Gottfried Benemann (* in Prettin ; † November 16, 1761 in Düben ) was a royal Polish and electoral Saxon chamber commissioner, chief excise commissioner and bailiff to Düben as well as the owner of the manor .

Life

He was the son of the excise inspector and mayor of Prettin, Christoph Benemann, and his wife Magdalena nee Trebeljahr. After attending school, Benemann embarked on an administrative career in the service of the Wettins at the court in Dresden and rose to the position of chamber commissioner and chief excise commissioner. Most recently he was bailiff in the Düben office .

On May 2, 1755 he bought Julius Alexander von Hartitzsch's manor Schnellroda in the Freyburg office . Furthermore, he was heir, feudal lord and court lord on spurs in the Zörbig office .

His funeral took place on November 19, 1761 in Düben.

The following sons were born from the marriage with Catharina Magdalena:

  • Christian Gottfried Benemann, Lieutenant of the Infantry, Adjutant General to Lieutenant General Prince Johann Adolph von Sachsen-Gotha. In 1779, as captain, he acquired his father's estate from his Slevogt nephew. In 1780 he died without children. Widow became a universal heir.
