Johann Gottfried Wilhelm Palschau
Johann Gottfried Wilhelm Palschau (* 21st December 1741 probably in Copenhagen , † July 5 jul. / 17th July 1815 greg. In Saint Petersburg ) was a German pianist and composer .
Life
Palschau was the son of a musician from Holstein who was a member of the Copenhagen Royal Band . At an early age he undertook extensive concert tours and performed in London in 1754 and in Hamburg in 1761 . Around 1771 he took lessons from Johann Gottfried Müthel in Riga . In 1777 he settled in Saint Petersburg.
