Johann Gottlieb Müller

Johann Gottlieb Müller (* 1727 in Hildesheim , † after 1799) was a German organ builder.

Life

Müller was the son of the organ builder Johann Georg Müller and brother of Johann Conrad Müller (1704–1789). From 1745 to 1750 he worked in Holland . After that he lived in Paderborn and Osnabrück . He later carried the titles of Cologne court organ builder and prince-bishop court organ builder . One of his best preserved instruments is the organ in the parish church of St. Gervasius and St. Protasius in Altenrüthen . In Westphalia he built a number of important instruments from 1768 to 1799.
