Johann Hasentöter
Hans Johann Hasentöter (different spelling: Hasentödter , * 1517 , † 1586 ) was a German chronicler .
Hasentöter wrote the Lord's Prayer in Latvian , which was printed in 1550 in the Latin edition of Sebastian Munster's Cosmographia . This is the oldest printed text in Latvian script that has survived today.
When the Hanseatic city of Danzig was attacked in 1577, Hasentöter wrote the lyrics to the song O Danzig hold you tight .
