Johann Heinrich Bergfeld (born December 16, 1764 in Langenberg ; † May 22, 1808 in Elberfeld ) was an Elberfeld merchant and mayor .

Bergfeld was born as the son of the merchant Philipp Ernst Bergfeld, who originally came from Mülheim an der Ruhr and later moved to Langenberg, and his wife Gertrud Johanna Dilthey (1745–1772). In 1794, in neighboring Ronsdorf , he married Sara Braun (1767–1849), with whom he had seven children.

The couple moved to Elberfeld, where Bergfeld acquired Elberfeld citizenship on January 31, 1795 for the set of ten Reichstalers. Bergfeld became a merchant at Neuenteich in Elberfeld, where he ran a siamese factory. He was elected mayor in 1800 and thus city judge the following year. In 1802 and 1803 Bergfeld was a councilor. From April 24, 1804 to December 31, 1807, the end of the city constitution, he was a lay judge at the city court.
