Johann Heinrich Eggeling (born May 13, 1639 in Bremen , † February 15, 1713 in Bremen) was a Bremen parent of merchants , secretary of the Bremen council and historian .

Life

Eggeling was the son of the lawyer Heinrich Eggeling (councilor and chancellor of the archbishop). He learned in Bremen at the cathedral school and studied at the University of Helmstedt and the University of Leipzig . After that he made several trips. He became a parent man in Bremen on October 18, 1676 and secretary of the Bremen Council on September 29, 1679 . He became important as a multi-faceted historian. He wrote several writings and promoted the reception of antiquities.
