Johann Heinrich Jacobi

Johann Heinrich Jacobi (born September 30, 1803 in Hamburg , † December 30, 1859 in Hornheim near Kiel ) was a German painter and lithographer.

Life

Jacobi studied at the Royal Prussian Academy of Arts in Berlin before 1841 , after which he worked in Hamburg as a portrait draftsman, painter, miniaturist and lithographer. From around 1841 he lived in Paris to study in Paul Delaroche's studio . Between 1844 and 1857 he took part in the Paris Salon . He died in the Hornheim, an early psychiatric facility, at that time at the gates of Kiel.
