Johann Heinrich Keller

Johann Heinrich Keller (born March 4, 1627 Basel ; † November 4, 1708 ibid) was a Swiss carpenter and author of a set of templates.

Life

In 1657 Johann Heinrich Keller bought the guild rights of the Basel spinning weather guild , which he represented in the Grand Council from 1668 and of which he was guild master from 1691–1708. In 1666, Keller created a sumptuous buffet for the Basel saffron guild, which is now in the Berlin Museum of Decorative Arts . In 1680 he published a master work for carpenters in Strasbourg under the title Seulen undt Ziraten Buch . So-called belt mills for Basel silk ribbon manufacturers also emerged from Keller's workshop .

His son Johann Jakob Keller (1665–1747) was also a trained carpenter, but mainly worked as a sculptor.
