Johann Heinrich von Rhede (* around 1600 ; † unknown) was canon in Münster .

Life

Johann Heinrich von Rhede came from the Emsland family von Rhede zu Brandlecht , who owned the fiefdom of Brandlecht Castle from the 2nd half of the 15th century until 1715 . Johann Heinrich was the son of Johann Albrecht von Rhede zu Brandlecht and Saesfeld and his wife Agnes Sybille von Asbeck zu Gaer. His brother Bernhard Wilhelm (1658–1721) was Grand Prior of the Order of St. John and Prince of Heitersheim . With the receipt of the tonsure on November 10, 1635, Johann Heinrich was prepared for a spiritual life and on July 1, 1636 he was nominated for the cathedral priest of the late Canon Engelbert von Brabeck . With the revolt on July 28th by the families Rhede-Mansfeld, Asbeck and Schedelich, it came into the possession of the Präbende. Johann Heinrich, who was also canon in Regensburg , renounced on November 28, 1654 in favor of his brother Joachim Adrian. This in turn renounced his (controversial) prebend initially in favor of Duke Johann Friedrich von Braunschweig-Lüneburg . In the end Joachim Friedrich renounced Ferdinand von Fürstenberg so that he could withdraw his complaint to the Curia in Rome. Johann Heinrich married Wilhelmina Friderica Ursula von Rhede zu Lengerich.
