John I of Glymes

Johan I. von Glymes (also Johan I. van Bergen ) (* 1390 ; † 1427 in Wouw ) was a Dutch nobleman from the Glymes family. He was the master of the Van Glymes in Bergen op Zoom .

His parents were Jan van Glymes (1360-1428), Lord of Glymes , and Isabella de Grez. In 1418 he married Johanna van Boutersem, which made him lord of Bergen op Zoom . There were four children from his marriage; John II of Glymes , Jacoba, Filips and Elisabeth. Johan I was also Drost of the Duchy of Brabant .
