Johann II von Schleinitz
Johann II von Schleinitz († November 30, 1434 in Zeitz ) was Bishop of Naumburg from 1422 to 1434 .
Johann II came from the von Schleinitz family , who provided further bishops in the dioceses of Naumburg and Meißen. He studied in Prague, Erfurt, Bologna and Leipzig. In 1410 he became provost in Bautzen and in 1417 cathedral provost in Meißen . During his time as bishop, the Hussites invaded the diocese. He was buried in Zeitz Cathedral , and his bronze tombstone is now placed on the north side of the choir. His successor was his nephew Peter von Schleinitz , who had been by his side as coadjutor since June 1434.
