Johann Ignaz Palliardi

Johann Ignaz Palliardi ( Ignác Jan Palliardi in Czech ) (born May 15, 1737 in Prague ; † March 18, 1824 there ) was a builder and plasterer in Bohemia . His work can be assigned to the baroque and classicism .

The godson of Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer was a representative of the late baroque and belonged to the Prague plasterers' association. He mainly built palaces but also town houses with influences from classicism .

In Prague four houses in Prague's Lesser Town have been preserved, as well as the monastery library in Strahov , but also palaces of the noble families Lobkowitz , Kolowrat and others as well as the house of the Irish doctor Wilhelm Mac Neven O'Kelly from Aghrim . Here he successfully combined the classicist French style of the Viennese master builders with the traditional elements of the Prague baroque.

Palliardi also worked as a building surveyor and valuer.
