Johann Jakob von Metzen

Johann Jakob Ritter und Edler von Metzen (born July 8, 1851 in Koblenz , † April 5, 1915 in Leipzig ) was a German judge .

Life

Johann Jakob von Metzen studied law and camera science at the Universities of Bonn , Berlin and Heidelberg . In 1870 he became a member of the Corps Rhenania Bonn . He was promoted to Dr. jur. PhD. Sworn in in 1873, he was trainee lawyer in Koblenz from 1874 and assessor in Colmar from 1878 . In 1878 von Metzen was appointed justice of the peace in Lützelstein near Zabern . In 1879 he was appointed district judge in Schlettstadt and in 1887 as district judge in Saargemünd . He was appointed district judge in 1890. In 1902 he was promoted to the higher regional judge in Colmar. In 1905 he became the regional court director in Strasbourg . In 1906 he was appointed from Strasbourg to the Reichsgericht in the IV Criminal Senate. He died in office.
