Johann Joachim Faber (born April 12, 1778 in Hamburg ; † August 2, 1846 there ) was a German landscape painter and etcher.
Life
For the Hamburg Katharinenkirche he created the altarpiece Let the children come to me . He visited Italy with Joseph Anton Koch and Johann Christian Reinhart . Among his students was Ludwig Mecklenburg . His works can be found in the collections of the Hamburger Kunsthalle , the Museum für Hamburgische Geschichte and the Alte Nationalgalerie in Berlin .
