Johann Kaspar Füssli

Johann Kaspar Füssli , also Johann Fuesslin and Johann Fuessly , (born March 9, 1743 in Zurich , † May 7, 1786 in Winterthur ) was a Swiss painter , entomologist and publisher .

He was the son of Johann Caspar Füssli and probably learned painting from him. Füssli was a drawing teacher at the Zurich orphanage and later a bookseller and entomologist in Winterthur. He collected insects and in 1775 published a directory of Swiss insects.
