Johann Kiemann

Johann Kiemann (born November 19, 1844 in Prague ; † May 10, 1919 there ) was a German-Bohemian lawyer in the Kingdom of Bohemia .

Johann Kiemann was the son of Johann Kiemann the Elder of the same name (born October 21, 1797 in Wallern (Volary), Prachatitz district, died April 18, 1872 in Prague), Dr. jur. State advocate in Prague, member of the Prague City Council from 1850 to 1861, member of the Imperial Council from 1848/1849 and 1867, member of the Bohemian Parliament from 1867 to 1869; and the younger brother of Anton Kiemann (born December 9, 1836 in Prague, died January 5, 1922 there), Dr. jur. Lawyer in Prague, leading member of the Association of the History of Germans in Bohemia and co-founder of an association which implemented the German House (Prague) plan . He was the owner of a large collection of pragensia.

Life

Johann Kiemann studied law at the Charles University in Prague , where he joined the Corps Moldavia I. and moved to the University of Innsbruck . At the time of the German War (1866) he was a subordinate in the Innsbruck student company. Kiemann, who received the title of JUDr in 1869 , had been a lawyer in Prague since 1877 .

From 1867 to 1869 and from 1878 to 1908 he represented Vimperk and Prachatitz in the Bohemian state parliament . He was also an explorer of Field Marshal Wallenstein's life .
