Johann Kinkel

Johann Kinkel (* in Bremen ; † July 29, 1503 in Lübeck ) was councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.

The merchant Johann Kinkel was a member of the Lübeck mountain drivers . He was elected councilor in 1501 shortly before his death.

Johann von Kinkel was married to Anna Basedow, a daughter of the mayor of Lübeck, Dietrich Basedow, who died in 1501, from his first marriage. He lived in the house at Mengstrasse 30 in Lübeck's old town .

Kinkel was buried in the Marienkirche in Lübeck together with his late wife under a common coat of arms grave plate with alliance coat of arms, which is described in the literature, but currently not verifiable.
