Johann Konnerth

Johann Konnerth (* 1966 in Schäßburg ) is a German concert trumpeter who is the first solo trumpeter at the Ulm Theater .

Career

After attending the music high school in Cluj-Napoca (Transylvania) and taking first lessons from both his father and Ilie Muntean, Johann Konnerth majored in trumpet. In 1988 he began studying at the University of Music in Würzburg with Werner Heckmann and Professor Helmut Erb and with Günther Beetz in Mannheim. Konnerth graduated with a degree in music and a master class diploma. Konnerth has been principal trumpeter in the Ulm Philharmonic Orchestra and at the Ulm Theater since 1990 .

Johann Konnerth has a lively solo concert activity throughout southern Germany. He is a member of various chamber music ensembles (including Brass Philharmonie Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg brass quintet).
