Nagyatád is a Hungarian city on the Rinya River and is located 60 km south of Lake Balaton in Somogy County on the main road 68 ( European route 661 ). It consists of the six districts of Kisatád, Bodvica, Kivadár, Henész, Simongát and Atád.
history
The community was first mentioned in 1190. The name is made up of the Turkish word Ata (father) and the Hungarian word nagy (large). Nagyatád has been a city since 1971.
Attractions
The city has a famous bath, a city museum, and an artists' square. A large triathlon event is organized every year.
