Anikó Kovacsics (born August 29, 1991 in Nagyatád , Hungary ) is a Hungarian handball player .

Career

Kovacsics started playing handball at Berzencén in 2001. Via the intermediate stations Csurgói NKC and Nagyatádi NKK, she came to Győri ETO KC in 2006 . After the back court player was only used in the second and third team in Győr in the first year, she has been a member of the first team since the 2007/08 season. With Győri ETO KC she won the Hungarian championship in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016, and the Hungarian cup competition in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. In 2013 and 2014 she won the EHF Champions League . She has been playing for the Hungarian club Ferencváros Budapest since the 2016/17 season . With Ferencváros, she won the Hungarian Cup in 2017.

Anikó Kovacsics has so far played 128 international matches for the Hungarian women's handball team , in which she scored 274 goals. With the Hungarian selection, she took part in the 2009 World Cup and the 2010 European Championship . Kovacsics was also on the squad of the Hungarian junior selection, with which she became vice European champion in 2009.
