The Young Alpine Region is an umbrella organization of the youth organizations of the Christian conservative parties in Bavaria , Austria , Italy , Liechtenstein , Switzerland and Slovenia .

Members are the district associations of Upper Bavaria , Munich , Lower Bavaria , Upper Palatinate and Swabia of the Junge Union Bayern, the regional associations Carinthia , Upper Austria , Lower Austria , Salzburg , Styria , Tyrol and Vorarlberg of the JVP (Austria), the young generation (South Tyrol), the youth union (Liechtenstein ) and the Young CVP (Switzerland), the Slovenian Democratic Youth (SDM) , the Young Slovenia (MSi) , as well as the boys of the Partito Autonomista Trentino Tirolese (Italy). These are the youth organizations of the CSU , ÖVP , SVP , VU , CVP , SDS , NSi and the PATT .

Matthias Huber from Austria has been President of the Young Alpine Region since October 29, 2016 .

history

The decisive step in founding the was a meeting of representatives of the JVP from Salzburg, Tyrol and Vorarlberg, the Liechtenstein Youth Union, the Young Union from Munich and Upper Bavaria, the Young CVP St. Gallen and the young generation from South Tyrol. The constituent assembly took place on June 2, 1973 in Fulpmes in Tyrol. On October 26, 1975, at a conference in Vaduz in the Principality of Liechtenstein, the statute of the Young Alpine Region was adopted and solemnly deposited with SD Hereditary Prince Hans Adam von und zu Liechtenstein. In 2006 it was decided to accept the Mlada Slovenija and in 2008 that of the Slovenska Demokratska Mladina in the Young Alpine Region .

On January 28, 2012, a general assembly on the subject of transit traffic took place in Bolzano / South Tyrol , during which a new presidium was elected until 2015. The speakers were Herbert Dorfmann MEP and the President of the Brenner Motorway Walter Pardatscher. At the following convention from June 8th to 10th in Steingaden / Upper Bavaria , the JA u. a. CSU Secretary General Alexander Dobrindt as a speaker. The topic of flood protection, torrent and avalanche control was chosen for the general assembly from November 2nd to 4th, 2012 in Dornbirn / Vorarlberg . Speakers were the Vorarlberg Provincial Councilor Erich Schwärzler , the then President of the State Parliament Bernadette Mennel and representatives of Wilbach and the civil engineering department of the city of Dornbirn.

From March 1st to 3rd, 2013 the Young Alpine Region dealt with tourism in the Alpine region and discussed it with the Secretary General of the ÖVP , Hannes Rauch , and the National Councilor Franz Hörl (ÖVP). For the second general assembly in 2013, which took place from July 5th to 7th, 2013 in St. Gallen , Switzerland, the topic of tourism in the Alpine region was also chosen. The focus was again on discussions and discussions with experts, such as the Swiss ski and tourism expert Art Furrer .

On November 30, 2013 , the 40th anniversary of the Young Alpine Region took place in Traunstein . The keynote speaker was the Bavarian State Minister of Finance a. D. and President of the German Savings Banks and Giro Association Georg Fahrenschon . The members of the Bundestag Alexander Radwan and Tobias Zech also took part in the celebration. The first two are former members of the JA presidium.

In the summer of 2014 a general assembly on the subject of "We in Europe" took place in Tolmin / Slovenia . This venue was chosen because a hundred years ago the Isonzo battles took place there during the First World War . At the second general assembly in 2014 in Fürstenfeld / Styria, the topic of "food safety" was dealt with. At the same time, a new presidium was also elected.

At the plenary meeting in April 2015 in Linz / Upper Austria , it was decided to accept the boys of the Partito Autonomista Trentino Tirolese , and in July 2016 the JVP Lower Austria was also accepted. The Young Alpine Region has 18 member organizations from 6 countries.

In the course of the plenary meeting on the subject of "Safety in the Alpine Region" from October 28th to 30th, 2016 in Innsbruck / Tyrol , a new Presidium was elected. Guests of honor were u. a. Herwig van Staa , President of the Tyrolean state parliament, present.
