Johann Lüneburg (* ~ 1496 Lübeck ; † 1531 ibid) was a Lübeck councilor in the 16th century.

Life

Johann Lüneburg was the son of the Lübeck citizen Joachim Lüneburg († 1529). Johann Lüneburg became a member of the influential circle society in 1525 ; the annals of the circle society list it to distinguish it from other members of the same name, e.g. B. Johann Lüneburg († 1529) , Middle Low German as "Hans Luneborch de swarte edder stive". He was elected to the Lübeck Council in 1530, shortly before the start of the Wullenwever period . He was married twice, first to Elisabeth, daughter of Lübeck's mayor Heinrich Castorp , and second to Anna Bruskow. He owned the Paddelugge estate .

His brother Ludeke Lüneburg also became councilor in Lübeck in 1535 and married a daughter of councilor Berthold Kerkring .
