Johann Ludwig Bauhin
Johann Ludwig Bauhin (born September 15, 1666 in Basel ; † September 2, 1735 there ) was a Swiss lawyer .
Johann Ludwig Bauhin was the second son of Hieronymus Bauhin . He studied law in Basel and received his doctorate in 1688. In 1691 he was assessor at the court of Grossbasel , in 1709 mayor, 1714 councilor and in 1717 chief judge of Grossbasel. From 1725 to 1731 he was a member of the commercial directorate.
Bauhin was married to the daughter Anna Margaretha of the trader Daniel Merian. He was buried in Basel Minster .
