Johann Ludwig Mögling the Elder Ä. (* around February 2, 1585 in Heidelberg ; † September 25, 1625 in Tübingen ) was a German physician and professor at the University of Tübingen .

Life

Johann Ludwig Mögling received his doctorate in medicine in 1609, before that he had already taught Latin at the University of Tübingen. In 1615 he became a full professor of physics and from 1617 to 1625 he was professor of medicine at the University of Tübingen.

His portrait, painted in 1663, hangs in the Tübingen professors' gallery .

He was the son-in-law of Ulrich Andreä and father of Johann Ludwig Mögling the Elder. J.
