Johann Matthias Ritter and Edler von Coll (* December 20, 1692 in Koblenz , † November 17, 1752 in Koblenz) was a lawyer, Kurtrier Real Privy Councilor and Chancellor.

Life

Johann Matthias Ritter und Edler von Coll was born in Koblenz as the son of the Trier chamber council and general taker of the lower archbishopric Wolfgang Friedrich von Coll and his wife Catharina Maria Champagnier. Studied philosophy in Trier; 1708 Bacc.phil; 1709 Mag.phil ,. Then studied law in Trier and Reims . The doctorate took place in Trier in 1730. From 1729 to 1744 kurtr. On September 8, 1722 he married Maria Theresia Franziska Edle von Solemacher zu Namedy , daughter of the Electorate of Cologne and later Chancellor Johann Arnold Ritter and Edler von Solemacher zu Namedy and Maria Elisabeth Walburga (von) Steinhausen. The elevation to the hereditary imperial knighthood with the predicate " Edler von" was carried out by Emperor Karl VI. in Vienna on February 28, 1735.
