Sigrid Jahns

Sigrid Jahns née Langer (born October 26, 1945 in Malente-Gremsmühlen ) is a German historian . Until 2009 she was professor for the history of the early modern period at the historical seminar of the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

Life

After graduating from high school in Osnabrück in 1965, the daughter of a doctor began studying history , philology , philosophy and education , which she continued in 1967 at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel and in 1968 at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main . In 1972 she was in Frankfurt with Friedrich Hermann Schubert with the work Frankfurt, Reformation and Schmalkaldischer Bund - the Reformation, Reich and Alliance policy of the imperial city of Frankfurt am Main 1525-1536 to Dr. phil. PhD. Sigrid Jahns was married to the botanist Hans Martin Jahns .
