. Johann Meinhard VII of Gorizia and Kirchberg (* 1378 / 1380 ; † 22. May 1430 ) came from the ruling dynasty of Meinhardiner . He held the dignity and offices of a Count Palatine of Carinthia and that of a Count of Kirchberg .

Johann Meinhard came from the second marriage of Count Meinhard VI from Gorizia . with Utelhild von Mätsch , a daughter of Vogt Ulrich IV. von Mätsch. After his older brother Heinrich VI. von Gorizia whose father succeeded him in the county of Gorizia, Johann Meinhard VII was awarded the county of Kirchberg from his maternal inheritance. In addition, he received the office of Count Palatine in Carinthia.

Johann Meinhard VII was married twice. His first wife was Magdalena von Bayern , daughter of the Bavarian Duke Friedrich I the Wise , who was followed in 1422 by her marriage to Agnes von Pettau-Wurmberg , a daughter of Count Bernhard. No children are known from these two marriages. In the county of Kirchberg is his brother Heinrich VI. followed.
