Johann Michael Surgant

Johann Michael Surgant (* unknown date in Mainz ; † unknown) was a German doctor, assessor at the medical faculties in Vienna and Basel and a member of the “ Leopoldina ” academy of scholars .

Life

Johann Michael Surgant was a respondent at the University of Basel. He was physicus in Munich, then in the Mark Baden and later military doctor for various princes. He was appointed assessor at the medical faculties in Vienna and Basel.

On September 19, 1697, Johann Michael Surgant with the nickname Cleophantus was accepted as a member ( registration number 228 ) of the Sacri Romani Imperii Academia Caesareo-Leopoldina Naturae Curiosorum . He belonged to the mathematics section.
