Johann Millendorfer

Johann Millendorfer (born June 4, 1921 in Vienna ; † March 16, 2001 ) was an Austrian development researcher and systems analyst .

Life

Johann Millendorfer studied physics and obtained his degree in engineering in 1954 from the Vienna University of Technology . After a few years in professional life, he began studying economics and social sciences at Graz University of Technology in 1965 , where he began his dissertation in 1971 with a thesis on development, social learning processes and material resources. A cross-country study on immaterial and material determinants of development was promoted . From 1954 to 1965 he worked as a development engineer in industry and from 1965 to 1969 he worked in the scientific department of the Austrian Federal Chamber of Commerce . After teaching positions at the University of Vienna and Linz as well as at private institutes, he became the third scientific-technical revolution in 1981 with the text Die Metaebenen. A system-analytical contribution to the human- economic upheaval . From 1979 to 1991 he taught systems analysis in Heiligenkreuz (Lower Austria).
