Johann Nikolaus Fürsen

Johann Nikolaus Fürsen (born November 10, 1757 in Schleswig , † May 9, 1817 in Eckernförde ) was a mayor and royal Danish judicial councilor.

Johann Nikolaus Fürsen was a son of the royal Danish personal physician Joachim Fürsen and his wife Magdalena Benedicte Friederike Dreyer (1733-1821). He had two sisters and his brother Ernst Georg Joachim Fürsen , who became a Hardesvogt and royal Danish budget adviser.

After studying law at the University of Kiel and the University of Göttingen , Fürsen worked from 1781 as a court clerk and auditor of the Funen Dragoon Regiment. In 1783 he married Johanna Margarete Kickebusch (* March 20, 1755 in Altona , † May 19, 1828 in Schleswig), with whom he had no children.

Fürsen served as mayor of Eckernförde from 1787 until the end of his life.
