Joachim Fürsen

Joachim Fürsen (born September 22, 1717 in Preetz ; † May 3, 1778 in Schleswig ) was a royal Danish personal physician and physician.

Joachim Fürsen was a son of pastor Johann Nicolaus Führsen and his wife Katharina Elisabeth Magelsen (* December 13, 1681; † around 1769). He had two sisters and four brothers. He studied Medicine at the University of Goettingen and was in 1741 with a thesis on gout to Dr. med. PhD. He then moved to Güderott in Boren in 1741 and worked there as a general practitioner.

In 1768 Fürsen became a personal physician and physician in Schleswig. In addition to the city of Schleswig, the offices of Gottorf , Mohrkirch and the Stapelholm region belonged to his area of ​​responsibility.

Fürsen was married to Magdalena Benedicte Friederike Dreyer (born March 26, 1778 in Waren ; † January 4, 1821). Her parents were the pastor Christian Dreyer and his wife Juliane Catharina, née Westphal, who was a sister of Ernst Joachim Westphal . The Fürsen couple had two sons and two daughters. The son Johann Nikolaus Fürsen became mayor of Eckernförde . The son Ernst Georg Joachim Fürsen became a hard guardian and a Danish budget adviser.
