Johann Nus (s) biegel , also Nussbiegel (* December 6, 1750 in Nuremberg ; † 1829 there ) was a German draftsman and engraver in Nuremberg.

Life

Nussbiegel was the son and student of the Nuremberg engraver and publisher Georg Paul Nussbiegel (1713–1776). He deepened his skills in perspective drawing with the architect and building inspector Daniel Stettner and with Johann Justin Preissler at the Nuremberg Painting Academy , of which he later became a member. He made several sheets for the works Physiognomische Fragmente, for the advancement of human knowledge and human love and Jesus Messiah, or the future of the Lord of Johann Caspar Lavater . He produced Schwerin's Death in the Battle of Prague based on a template by Berger. His diligence and accuracy were praised. The later copper engraver Christoph Wilhelm Bock was apprenticed to him.
