Johann Philipp Orth (politician, 1582)

Johann Philipp Orth (born February 28, 1582 in Heilbronn ; † September 2, 1635 there ); was mayor of Heilbronn from 1633 to 1635 .

Life

He came from the wealthy Orth family in Heilbronn and was the eldest son of Dietrich Orth (1547–1595) and Maria Ans, so he was a grandson of Philipp Orth and Wendel Ans d. J.

Johann Philipp was first Count Erbachscher Kammerschreiber in Michelstadt and later returned to his hometown Heilbronn. There he belonged in 1627 to the small, inner council ("von den burgern"), was tax master from 1628 and from 1633 mayor of Heilbronn .

Orth delivered a report on the atrocities of the Bohemian-Palatinate War in 1622 in the battle of Wimpfen .
