Johann Richter (* 1951 ) is an Austrian politician ( FPÖ ). From July 2015 to February 2020 he was a member of the Burgenland State Parliament .

Life

Johann Richter completed a university degree, which he completed with a master's degree. Before his retirement he taught at the HTL Pinkafeld .

Richter was a local councilor in Riedlingsdorf for ten years before he moved to Tobaj , where he also represents the FPÖ in the local council. On July 9, 2015 he was in the XXI. Legislative term as a deputy to the Burgenland Parliament sworn in , where he is chairman of the economic committee and acts as spokesperson for the field of education, research and science, culture, economy and tourism.

On February 14, 2016 he was elected FPÖ district party chairman in the Güssing district. In December 2018 he became honorary chairman of the FPÖ local group Tobaj. In March 2019, Josef Graf succeeded him as Güssing District FPÖ Chairman. After the state elections in 2020 , he left the state parliament.
