Johann Siebold

Johann Siebold (also Johannes Sieboldt , * 1636 in Gotha ; † 1706 in Lübeck ) was a German physician and Saxon-Anhalt personal physician .

Life

Johann Siebold studied medicine at the universities in Jena and Altdorf . In 1662 he received his doctorate in Altdorf . He then went to Physicus in Weißenfels and taught as a professor at the illustrious Augusteum grammar school founded in 1664 . Later he worked as a physicus in Magdeburg and finally as a general practitioner in Leipzig and Saxon-Anhalt personal physician for Johann Adolph Herzog zu Sachsen, Jülich, Kleve and Berg.

On November 1, 1678, Johann Siebold with the nickname Laomedon was accepted as a member ( matriculation no. 79 ) in the Leopoldina .
