Johann VI. (Roucy)

Johann VI. († October 25, 1415 in the Battle of Azincourt ) was Count of Roucy and Braine from 1395 to 1415. He was the eldest son of Count Hugo II and Blanche de Coucy , mistress of Montmirail .

In 1398 he married Isabelle de Montaigu, mistress of Marcoussis and Germaine , daughter of Jean de Montaigu , Bâtard de France, and Jacqueline de La Grange. The couple had only one daughter, named Johanna († September 3, 1459). She married Robert von Saarbrücken-Commercy († around 1460), lord of Commercy, in Braine-sur-Vesle in 1414 . Through this marriage, Roucy and Braine came to the Saarbrücken-Commercy family .

Johann VI. was buried in the monastery of Saint-Yved in Braine. Before September 16, 1417, his widow married Pierre de Bourbon , lord of Préaux , Combles and Villeneuve (arr. October 11, 1422 in La Rochelle ) from the House of Bourbon-Préaux . She died on October 24, 1429 in Lyon and was buried in Marcoussis.
