Johann Wilhelm Greven
Johann Wilhelm Greven (born November 20, 1820 in Cologne , † February 3, 1893 in Brussels ) was a German publisher.
He was born as the eldest son of Anton Greven , founder of Greven Verlag Köln and Greven's Adreßbuch-Verlag .
He was not only an address book, book and art publisher, but also a bookseller and printer. In 1854, while his father was still alive, he took over his print shop, which he merged with Arnold Bechtold's print shop to form Greven & Bechtold in 1858. In 1867 he also founded the installation and furniture business Greven & Fahrbach.
In 1870 he withdrew from the business, which he passed on to his sons Anton Carl and Max.
Johann Wilhelm Greven died in Brussels on February 3, 1893. His grave is in the Melaten cemetery in Cologne (lit. R, between lit. B + C).
