Johann Wimmer (politician, 1921)

Johann Wimmer (born June 22, 1921 in Schönbichl ; † September 29, 2004 in Reischach ) was a German politician ( CSU ).

Wimmer completed elementary and vocational school training in Reischach and then worked on his parents' farm. In 1941 he was called up in the Wehrmacht until he was wounded in 1944.

After the war, Wimmer was a council member in Reischach. In 1945 he was a founding member of the CSU in Reischach and youth representative in the district executive committee in the Altötting district . In 1946 he took over the office of community clerk. In 1952 and 1957 he was elected to the district council in the Altötting district, and in December 1956 he became district chairman of the CSU Altötting. From 1958 to 1970 Wimmer was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . He was always elected directly in the Altötting constituency.

Wimmer was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit on June 9, 1969 .
